HubSpot Credits explained: the full rate sheet in plain English
HubSpot credits are the unit that pays for activity on HubSpot's new pricing: every email HubSpot sends, many workflow actions and every AI agent task use a set number of credits. Each edition includes a monthly allowance (5,000, 10,000 or 15,000 credits), and extra credits cost €0.010 each. Unused credits don't roll over.
Credits are one of the three building blocks of HubSpot's new pricing model, alongside one edition and seats. The rates below come from HubSpot's Flexible Seats-and-Credits Pricing supplement, as published on 2 October 2026.
What credits are
Under HubSpot's new seats-and-credits model for new EMEA customers, seats pay for people and credits pay for activity. Every time HubSpot sends an email, runs a credit-consuming workflow action, or an AI agent resolves a conversation, it uses credits.
How HubSpot credits work each month
| Edition | Included credits / month |
|---|---|
| Starter | 5,000 |
| Professional | 10,000 |
| Enterprise | 15,000 |
- Credits reset monthly and don't roll over. Unused credits are lost at the end of the month.
- Extra credits cost €0.010 each.
- A capacity pack adds 1,000 credits a month for €10, for the rest of your term.
- Pay-as-you-go overage is €0.010 per credit, billed in arrears in increments of 10.
Pause vs overage
This is the rule most people miss.
- If you've bought no extra credits, credit-using features pause when your included credits run out. Emails stop sending and credit-using workflow actions stop running until the credits reset.
- Overage billing only applies after a first purchase of extra credits. Once you've bought some, usage beyond your credits is billed at €0.010 per credit.
Admins can set a maximum monthly credit limit, and HubSpot alerts at 75%, 85% and 90% usage, and on overage. Our guide to keeping credit spend under control covers how to use these.
The full rate sheet
Email and workflows (per monthly volume band)
| Monthly volume | Email send | Workflow action |
|---|---|---|
| 1–10,000 | 15 credits | 3 credits |
| 10,001–55,000 | 5 credits | 2 credits |
| 55,001–100,000 | 2 credits | 0.5 credits |
| 100,001+ | 0.5 credits | 0.1 credits |
A Breeze workflow action uses 10 credits.
Whether these bands are graduated (each band priced separately) or apply to your whole volume is not confirmed by HubSpot. Our calculator treats them as graduated; that's our reading. On that reading, 12,000 emails in a month would use 10,000 × 15 plus 2,000 × 5, or 160,000 credits (our calculation). If HubSpot applies one rate to the whole volume instead, the count would be different.
Calling, messaging, quotes and events
| Activity | Credits |
|---|---|
| Calling minute above your included minutes | 10 |
| WhatsApp templated message | 20 |
| One accepted quote | 100 |
| 1,000 custom events above included capacity | 15 |
Included calling minutes are 500 a month on Starter, 3,000 on Professional and 12,000 on Enterprise. Calling only uses credits once you go past those minutes.
AI agents
| Agent | Unit | Credits |
|---|---|---|
| Customer agent | One resolved text conversation | 50 |
| Customer agent (beta) | Voice minute | 50 |
| Prospecting agent | One lead | 100 |
| Data agent | One prompt per record | 10 |
| Content agent (beta) | One unit | 1,000 |
| Revenue agent (beta) | One invoice | 500 |
| Nurture agent (beta) | One email | 10 |
| Knowledge base agent (beta) | One article | 200 |
| Custom and Work agents (beta) | One action unit | 1 |
More on these, with worked examples, in HubSpot AI agents pricing.
Buyer intent and Data studio
| Activity | Credits |
|---|---|
| Buyer intent: one company per month | 10 |
| Custom signal per company per month (beta) | 50 |
| Company from market segments (beta) | 10 |
| Data studio dataset use (beta), under 500k rows | 50 |
| Data studio dataset use (beta), 500k–5M rows | 100 |
| Data studio dataset use (beta), over 5M rows | 200 |
Beta rates may change, and beta features may or may not consume credits.
Three months in credits
The rates are easier to read as real months. These are our calculations, using the rate sheet and our reading of the bands.
A Professional account that fits. It sends 500 emails (7,500 credits) and runs 500 credit-consuming workflow actions (1,500 credits). That's 9,000 credits against 10,000 included, so nothing extra to buy.
A Starter account that doesn't. Three users send 1,000 emails a month: 15,000 credits against 5,000 included. The 10,000-credit gap is 10 capacity packs at €10, or €100. With three Core seats at €20, the month comes to €160.
An agent-heavy Enterprise account. Its customer agent resolves 1,000 conversations: 50,000 credits. If email and workflows are covered by packs, the 15,000 included credits go to the agent and the remaining 35,000 credits are 35 capacity packs, or €350.
The surprises
Internal emails count
"Email send" covers all HubSpot-sent email except one-to-one email from a connected or hosted inbox. That includes marketing, transactional and automated emails, but also internal notification emails, meeting reminders and survey emails. If your workflows email the sales team every time a lead comes in, those emails use credits.
Many workflow actions count
Credit-consuming workflow actions include rotate owner, edit record, create record, create task, internal email and in-app notifications, send email, add to ads audience, Salesforce campaign and task actions, format data, custom code, webhooks and connected-app actions. See how HubSpot workflow actions use credits.
Email is expensive at credit rates
At 15 credits for each of the first 10,000 emails a month, an email paid for with credits costs €0.15 (our calculation). The 2,000 and 10,000 email packs work out at €0.10 per email. But email packs are only available on Professional and Enterprise. Read what a HubSpot email costs now.
Packs vs credits
Packs cover large volumes of a single activity:
- Email packs and workflow packs (Professional and Enterprise only) are much cheaper per unit than credits.
- Agents packs (all paid editions) cost the same €0.010 per credit as capacity packs and pay-as-you-go, so they give no per-credit saving (our calculation).
Usage above a pack consumes credits at rate-sheet prices. HubSpot hasn't confirmed the order in which packs, included credits and purchased credits are used.
What to check in your own portal
- Count every email type for a typical month, not just campaigns.
- List credit-consuming workflow actions and how often they run.
- Note any agents you plan to switch on, and whether they're in beta.
- Check calling minutes against your edition's included minutes.
- Add it up in credits and compare with your included allowance before deciding on packs.
